My Thoughts:
I have always been a fan of the Boss Baby franchise. From the bery first movie up to the Netflix series, I watched them all. And if there will be new releases, you can bet I will watch it.
The thing that I love about the franchise is the concept. It’s a nice take which depicts serious adult world matters through the eyes of children. The Christmas special, Christmas Bonus, is a fine example of that. We all know that there are lots of TV movies being made and released at Christmas. All of them share a common theme. But Boss Baby took a unique approach to the holidays. In the movie, ig showed Boss Baby trying to commercialized Christmas by making kids pay to be in the good list. Now that is some swipe at the commercialization running rampant during the holidays. It’s a more practical and modern approach. Of course, the usual themes of a Christmas movie is still there: tradition, family and connections.
This is one Christmas movie that I recommend. In fact, you can watch this even if it’s not Christmas. And while you’re at it, go and watch the entire franchise. It’s worth it, believe me. 😁
